How to Use a Share Link

Shadowboxes shared by other users can be viewed in 3D from a share link. You can also fork a design you like to edit it yourself, or download it as a PDF.

Share Page Layout

Opening a share link shows the shadowbox in 3D along with a control panel.

Title & Author

The shadowbox title and author name are shown at the top of the page

3D View Area

Drag to rotate the view, scroll to zoom in/out

Show Comments Button

Toggle comments added by the author on each layer

Layer List

Click individual layers to show or hide them

Download PDF

Export all layers as a print-ready PDF

Fork Button

Copy this shadowbox to your account for editing

Step 1
Open the Share Link

Open the share link in your browser to view the shadowbox share page. No login is required to view.

Share links can be found on gallery cards or from URLs shared by the author.

Step 2
Show / Hide Comments

Click the "Show Comments" button below the 3D view area to display notes the author added to each layer in 3D space. Click again to hide them.

Comments are set per layer. They are useful for understanding the author's design intent for each part.

Step 3
Show / Hide Layers

The layer list is displayed below the Show Comments button. Click any layer name to individually toggle its visibility in the 3D view.

Showing layers one at a time lets you understand the structure — what is drawn on each layer.

Step 4
Fork and Edit

Click the "Fork" button at the bottom of the page to create a copy of this shadowbox in your account and move to the editor.

What is forking?
Forking lets you use a published shadowbox as a starting point and customize it to your liking. The original shadowbox is not affected at all, so feel free to fork any design you find interesting and make it your own.

Original stays unchanged

The published original remains intact after you fork it

Saved as your own data

The forked copy is managed from your My Page

Edit and re-publish freely

Erase, add, or reorder layers however you like

Step 5
Download as PDF

Click the "Download PDF" button at the bottom of the page to export all layers as a print-ready PDF.

Print and stack

Print each layer at the same size, mount on cardboard, and stack them to complete your shadowbox

No login required

PDF download is available without logging in

Step 6
Browse the Gallery

Click the "Back to Gallery" button in the top-right to go to the public gallery. Browse other users' shadowboxes and fork the ones you like.

The gallery features shadowboxes from a wide variety of cards. Use them as inspiration and create your own unique design.
